activated knowledge/ignorance or inert information?-more cases

The following pieces pertain to part 2 of the final project. The first author looks at the purported trickle-down effect of tax cuts. The second talks about capital punishment, followed by an effort to help some of their peers to think critically about the same issue. The third considers the opioid crisis, likewise followed by trying to help some peers to think critically about that issue. The fourth case is interesting for a unique reason: its author began the research as an earnest attempt to double check their currently held views on abortion and did so with the hope to obtain activated knowledge about this issue. While this ideal did not materialize, the author came to an equally valuable conclusion that it is not always so easy to reach activated knowledge about important subjects and that one can end up with many more questions than has been answered.
